The Four Seas

The employee entrance of the Four Seas on Waverly Place in San Francisco. The main entrance is on Grant Street. I came across the light falling on the wall this way when we were scouting for the TNT television series "Murder in the First." Website

Taye Diggs is the star, here he is down the street from the Four Seas closer to Clay Street. He was in another movie we shot here, Chris Columbus' "RENT."

The Saloon

The Saloon, San Francisco's oldest bar, now a blues club, from Fresno Street. I originally photographed it so I could recreate a second story exterior window for an Ashley Judd movie, Twisted, directed by Phil Kaufman.
Here's the Saloon as seen in Star Trek, The Voyage Home

Across the Street is the Caffe Trieste, North Beach's famed coffee house. The sign on the window facing Vallejo Street is original, this one facing Grant Street I painted for a movie, 40 Days and 40 Nights. The aging and eroded lettering is deliberate, to match the other sign. The picture is from SFGate, the San Francisco Chronicle's website.

The Green Tortoise Guest House

The Green Tortoise Guest House, North Beach, San Francisco from Kearny Street.

Some information about the place on Destination 360. We shot scenes from TNT's "Murder in the First" down the street, around the corner at what used to be Enrico's. Bullitt had a meeting in Enrico's with the informant, Eddie.
